If you’re looking for a beachy place to have lunch in Ventura, and you love delicious tacos, I highly recommend Beach House Tacos in the Ventura Pier.
Set at the foot of the Ventura Pier, Beach House Tacos has a casual, relaxing, outdoor, beach setting with views of the Ventura coastline.  It also features live music on the weekends, and, some of the best tacos my family and I have ever had.
The lunch menu includes traditional and specialty tacos, salads, and a wide variety of beverages including lemonade, iced tea, beer, wine, and a few specialty cocktails.  The specialty tacos consist of several different seafood varieties, such as shrimp, salmon, calamari, the very popular (fried or grilled) Baja tacos, and my favorite, ahi taco (made up of seared ahi served with cucumber sprout cilantro slaw, soy ginger, lime cream sauce, and topped with spiced avocado.
Beach House Tacos also offers daily specials (like a seafood burrito) and will make a quesadilla for your little one.
You place your order at the window, find a seat under the partially covered patio, and pick up your food when they call your number.  Then, enjoy amazing food along with a view of the beach.
Then, after lunch, you can head downstairs to the beach.  If you have kids, you (and they) will be even more pleased with the playground right on the beach.
Beach House Tacos was featured in this month’s Sunset magazine, and is clearly a hit with locals and visitors alike.
They also serve breakfast from 8:30-11 a.m.  Beach House Tacos in located at 668 Harbor Blvd., on the pier, next to Eric Ericssons.  For more information, call (805) 648-3177 or visit http://www.ericericssons.com/bht.html.
